Cliffdale Primary Academy is looking to recruit an exceptional Assistant Principal to join our Senior Leadership team and play a pivotal role in sustaining the outstanding provision for our pupils during maternity cover.

Cliffdale Primary Academy is a large special primary school for pupils aged 4-11 years who have severe and complex learning needs including a high percentage of pupils with autism.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role combining the responsibility of leading the Upper School phase with a whole school focus on Curriculum.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Be a relational leader who empowers staff to achieve through development and coaching
  • Lead and inspire staff to deliver consistently excellent teaching and assessment
  • Drive improvement through high challenge and high support
  • Champion our vision and values
  • Be prepared to support classes responsively and teach when needed
  • Be part of the safeguarding and child protection team

We are seeking a qualified teacher with strong experience and knowledge of teaching children with complex needs. You will have strong leadership experience and a proven record of school improvement. You will be a confident and empathetic leader who is able to inspire and motivate a large and diverse team.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your senior leadership experience within a highly supportive team. We will provide you with regular expert coaching and leadership training within an amazing community of children staff and families.
