Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Hematology/Oncology Chemotherapy department provides advanced specialized nursing care to patients undergoing complex cancer treatments. This role is responsible for assessing patient needs developing and implementing individualized care plans administering chemotherapy and supportive therapies and monitoring patients for treatment responses and adverse reactions. The RN collaborates closely with physicians pharmacists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe evidencebased care and optimal patient addition to direct clinical responsibilities the RN contributes to departmental operations through patient education coordination of care and adherence to regulatory and safety standards. This position requires strong clinical judgment technical proficiency and the ability to support patients and families through emotionally challenging diagnoses and treatmentsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Graduation certificate from an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) school of nursing requiredCurrent state RN licensure requiredChemotherapy experience requiredIV certification preferredBLS/CPR certification preferredQUALIFICATIONS:Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential informationComposure in fastpaced highpressure environmentsWillingness and ability to learn new technologiesDependable punctual and highly detailorientedStrong multitasking and independentwork capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAccurate documentation skillsAbility to follow established workflows consistentlyWORK SCHEDULE:Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
