Germany is a key strategic market within BBVAs European expansion. Building on a strong digital foundation the bank is now expanding its lending capabilities with a focus on data-driven decision making customer-centric design and strict regulatory compliance.
Global Digital Banks is BBVAs global unit responsible for building and scaling BBVAs fully digital banks as well as managing minority and majority stakes in leading neobanks such as Atom (UK) and Neon (Brazil).
About the job:
This role supports the initial definition supporting the new product approval process launch evolution and continuous improvement of digital lending products ensuring alignment with market best practices and full compliance with German regulatory requirements while leveraging data and customer insights to drive product decisions and enhance business performance.
We are looking for a purpose-driven Business Manager to join our Digital Bank Lending team in Germany. The role is central for the success and operational excellence of our lending lifecycle analyzing business outcomes pricing strategy unit economics and customer journeys. In this role you will partner closely with Brokers Product Operations Risk Data and Technology teams to evolve secured and unsecured credit products and digital functionalities.
The ideal candidate is analytically strong structured and eager to learn with exposure to a variety of digital products lending (e.g. mortgage) or financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
Support the definition and improvement of digital mortgage products (Grundschuld) and secured-lending-related features.
Lead the continuous analysis of the end-to-end credit lifecyclefrom initial customer interaction through to loan formalizationto identify friction points and propose operational and user experience improvements
Monitor pricing and commercial offering positioning for secured lending products (Grundshuld) including specific market and competitor tracking in relevant geographies.
Analyze customer behavior and usage metrics across lending journeys to identify improvement opportunities.
Translate business product and customer questions into analytical tasks and clear insights.
Monitor funnels conversion rates and key steps in the credit lifecycle.
Support analysis of lending performance including volumes revenue drivers and basic unit economics.
Assist in the evaluation of new initiatives or product changes through simple business cases and scenarios.
Prepare insights and materials to support product and management decision-making.
Track and maintain core KPIs related to lending performance and customer experience.
Participate in post-launch analyses to assess impact versus expectations.
Work with Brokers Product Operations Risk Data and Engineering teams to ensure alignment between analysis and execution and support on third-party management
Incorporate customer perspective into analyses highlighting experience issues and adoption barriers.
Use data to help improve clarity simplicity and effectiveness of lending experiences.
What you bring:
A minimum experience of 5 years in Mortgage Lending in the German Market.
5 years of experience in business analysis product analytics consulting or financial services roles.
Bachelors degree in STEM (e.g. Engineering Mathematics Physics Computer Science) strongly preferred; degrees in Finance Economics or Business will also be considered for candidates with demonstrated problem solving abilities.
A natural curiosity for and familiarity with data and metrics and the ability to turn metrics into clear actionable insights.
Exposure to digital products lending credit or banking environments is a plus.
Ability to structure analyses communicate insights clearly and work in cross-functional teams.
Proactive attitude curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment.
Fluency in German and English required.
Fluency in Spanish would be a plus.
