Job Summary

HPC Solution Architect (Cray as preferred HW vendor)

Tech stack:
Lustre (MDT/OST concepts changelogs LNet)
High-performance parallel filesystems
Object storage (S3-compatible) data lifecycle tooling
Data movement and replication frameworks (e.g. Starfish-like systems)

Role responsibilities/deliverables:

Configure PBS Pro to efficiently schedule jobs across heterogeneous resources (physical servers and Kubernetes-based execution).
Optimize queues resource definitions placement rules and scheduling policies based on customer-specific workload characteristics.
Integrate PBS Pro with OpenShift/Kubernetes for containerized job execution.
Tune scheduler behaviour to balance throughput fairness and utilization.
Ensure efficient IO handling with workloads primarily accessing data on HPE Cray Lustre systems.
Collaborate with storage and infrastructure teams to align scheduling with filesystem performance characteristics.
