Job Summary
Genetic Counselor Swedish Cancer Institute at First Hill Campus Outpatient Clinic Counsels patients at risk for hereditary cancer. Acts as a consultant/resource for patients and physicians. Schedule 5x8 Days Monday-Friday Contract Length: 13 Weeks No weekends or on-call requirements Clinicians must be seperated from any Providence perm employment for at minimum of 3 months in order to be eligible for this position. Local candidates approved Required Education: Masters Degree from a genetic counseling training program approved by the American Board of Genetic Counseling Required Licensure Upon Hire: Washington Genetic Counselor License. **Ok to start with Provisional License while perm state license is pending Required Experience: Well rounded experience dealing with genetic disorders including: cancer risk assessment ordering and interpreting genetic test results and providing psychosocial assessment and support. Preferred Experience: 1 year working with patients at risk for hereditary cancer.
