Job Summary
Role: Sr. Eng/Lead (Next/React)
Location: Calgary AB (Hybrid)
Mode: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Role Purpose: Lead frontend engineering efforts and define standards for building scalable high quality user interfaces.
Experience:
10 15 years in frontend or web engineering with 3 years leading frontend teams or frameworks.
Core Responsibilities:
Define frontend architecture UI standards and reusable component strategies.
Guide teams in building responsive accessible and high performance user interfaces.
Review code and ensure adherence to quality security and performance best practices.
Collaborate with UX backend and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
Mentor frontend engineers and support technical decision making.
Develop responsive and reusable UI components following design guidelines.
Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve UI related issues.
Mandatory Certification: AWS Certified Developer Associate; React/ Certification
Required Skills:
Expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as or React.
Experience building cloud hosted web applications on AWS or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of frontend frameworks HTML CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with testing and performance optimization.
Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks and web technologies.
Experience leading teams and conducting design and code reviews.
Success Metrics (KPIs):
UI consistency performance benchmarks reduced defects team productivity.
