About the Role:
A leading international law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3 5 years of experience to join its New York office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse mix of complex commercial disputes along with exposure to intellectual property and employment litigation matters.
You will be actively involved in all phases of litigation from initial pleadings through discovery motion practice trial and appeal. The role provides hands-on experience including courtroom exposure responsibility over key aspects of cases and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded litigator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad range of complex litigation matters across federal and state courts as well as arbitration proceedings
- Conduct legal research and draft high-quality briefs and memoranda
- Manage discovery processes including document review and strategy
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in oral arguments and court appearances
- Support trial preparation and trial execution
- Assist with appellate matters
What We re Looking For:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 3 5 years of litigation experience at a law firm
- Interest in commercial litigation with some exposure to IP and employment matters
- Strong interest in hands-on litigation work including depositions oral arguments and motion drafting
- Admission to the New York Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly
- Excellent research writing and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Top academic credentials
Compensation:
- Option to elect a lower billable-hours track with proportional salary adjustment
