Job Description:

As a key part of the Corporate Tax Team this role contributes to meeting the income tax reporting and compliance obligations of Sun Life Financial and its Canadian this role the Student Tax Analyst will help the Tax Risk Management team collect and organize documents and data needed to comply with government requirements around tax attribute calculations.

Work Term : June 1 - August 28 2026

What will you do

• Assist in the collection and organization of historical tax financial and legal documents (Financial Statements Trial Balances Tax Returns Government Communications etc.)

• Assist in tracking the status of documents collected and missing

• Managing communication with internal or external stakeholders where needed

• Interpreting and transcribing select contents of the documents to assist in downstream use of their information

• Provide support as needed to other members of the tax team

What do you need to succeed

• This opportunity is available to students with a graduation date of August 2026 or later

• Background in finance or business preferred.

• An understanding of tax financial and legal documents is an asset.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
