Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. Proficient skills in data management including gathering organizing and synthesizing data.
  3. Ability to proofread documents for spelling grammar and clarity.
  4. Working knowledge of the federal lunch program eligibility requirements and federal guidelines.
  5. Five (5) years of experience in a K12 environment Nutrition Services role preferred.
  6. Ability to prioritize workflow to address multiple departmental needs.
  7. Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  8. Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English.
  9. Strong computer skills including Excel Access and Word.
  10. Ability to communicate and interact professionally with parents campus personnel and department staff.
  11. Effective presentation skills.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Annual Contract: 250 days

SALARY:

$49363 (CP-8)

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate and oversee the Federal Lunch Program office ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations related to application processing eligibility determination and participant notification.
  2. Manage program compliance and audit readiness including eligibility verification documentation and coordination of state and federal review processes.
  3. Collect analyze and maintain program data; generate reports to monitor eligibility status participation trends and student account balances.
  4. Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact for campuses parents and departments regarding eligibility meal accounts and program requirements.
  5. Coordinate communication efforts to families and staff including notifications regarding application status grace periods and program updates.
  6. Collaborate with campus and district staff to increase program participation through targeted outreach and promotional initiatives.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of state and federal guidelines by attending required training and implementing updates as needed.
  8. Supervise department Receptionist and Free and Reduced Secretary.
  9. Ensure reception area coverage during business hours while maintaining safety and security protocols for building access.
  10. Manage staff badging processes including access requests and inventory of supplies.
  11. Provide backup support for work order management including entering requests coordinating with maintenance and technical staff and monitoring completion status as needed.
  12. Support Emergency Management efforts including maintaining emergency plans coordinating drills and documenting outcomes.
  13. Maintain inventory of emergency equipment including radios AEDs and first aid kits.
  14. Schedule conduct and evaluate safety drills; communicate results to appropriate leadership and teams.
  15. Maintain accurate safety and compliance records within designated systems (e.g. Navigate 360).
  16. Coordinate departmental meetings including scheduling preparation of materials and logistical support.
  17. Manage financial and administrative functions including PCARD reconciliation and petty cash.
  18. Coordinate and manage supply ordering for warehouses and departmental stock including placing orders maintaining inventory levels and ensuring pricing and records are accurate across systems.
  19. Coordinate cross-functional activities and support district initiatives including summer feeding programs trainings and special events.
  20. Cooordinate department travel and lodging as needed.
  21. Provide consistent and reliable support to the Nutrition Services Department.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

MENTAL DEMANDS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

  • Required to sit twist and bend;
  • Frequently required to lift up to 60-lbs;
  • Work with machinery;
  • Kneeling climbing bending stooping and reaching above shoulder level;
  • Required to work outside in various extreme conditions;
  • Required to work in greenhouses that may be extremely hot during certain months;
  • Required to load and unload equipment possibly multiple time daily;
  • Required to climb in and out of the bus through the service door;
  • Required to drive in reverse which requires twisting the upper body and neck while driving;
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory Department of Transportation physical.
