A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As a Staff Accountant youll play a key role in keeping financial operations running smoothly by ensuring records are accurate transactions are properly recorded and accounts are fully reconciled. Youll support day-to-day accounting functions collaborate with internal teams and external partners and help maintain the integrity of financial data across the organizationall while contributing to critical reporting and compliance efforts during this temporary assignment.

This is a temporary role lasting up to eight months.

WHAT YOULL DO:

• Manage Daily Accounting Operations: Process transactions maintain financial records and ensure accuracy across ledgers journals invoices and receipts.
• Support Financial Close & Reporting: Perform balance sheet reconciliations investigate variances and prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports.
• Maintain A/P & A/R Functions: Assist with Accounts Payable expense reports invoicing collections follow-up and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Collaborate & Ensure Continuity: Partner with internal teams and vendors to support smooth operations document processes and maintain workflow continuity.

WHAT YOULL NEED:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 4 or moreyears of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience with accounting software (UNANET experience is a plus)
• Solid analytical math and problem-solving skills
• Experience with government accounting is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems
• Ability to accurately analyze and reconcile financial data
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work a temporary assignment (up to 8 months)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting rate for this position ranges from $31.25 - $38.46 per hour depending on the candidates job-related knowledge skills and experience.

• Note: This is a temporary project-specific role. Employment will conclude at the end of the assignment unless otherwise extended.
