Everything You Need to Know!
In this role youll support patients through their day surgery journey - from pre-admission through to safe same-day discharge. Youll play a key part in ensuring smooth patient flow safety and a positive patient experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Pre-admission and follow-up phone calls
- Pre-operative assessments
- Discharge planning and coordination
- Arranging post-operative appointments
- Supporting efficient patient flow and maintaining quality documentation
You will bring:
Were looking for a motivated and adaptable Enrolled Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safe patient-centred care within scope of practice. With a:
- Strong clinical and organisational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and ability to build rapport with patients and families
- Confidence working under direction while also using initiative when required
- Experience with digital systems and electronic medical records (including willingness to transition to SDPR)
- A proactive reliable approach and strong teamwork skills
Support & development
Youll be well supported from day one with a structured orientation including an initial supernumerary period to build confidence in the role and unit processes.
Ongoing support is provided by experienced Registered Nurses Clinical Care Coordinators Clinical Nurse Educators and your wider team with access to ongoing learning opportunities to support your professional growth.
