Secondary Comprehensive Learning Program Special Education Teacher
- Anticipated to begin at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
- Provide direct instruction in functional academics daily living skills vocational readiness community skills and social-emotional learning.
- Develop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and state special education regulations.
- Collect and analyze student performance data to monitor progress and adjust instruction and interventions.
- Provide transition-focused programming
- Facilitate inclusion opportunities in general education classes electives school activities and community settings based on student needs and IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support accommodations modifications and inclusive instructional practices.
- Implement evidence-based practices for students with ASD including visual supports structured teaching communication supports and positive behavior interventions.
- Develop and maintain behavior support plans in collaboration with the IEP team behavior specialists and families.
- Support communication development using AAC systems as appropriate and collaborate with speech-language pathologists and related service providers.
- Coordinate and manage paraprofessionals providing guidance and feedback to ensure consistent student support.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress behavior and transition planning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings evaluations eligibility determinations and annual review meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation including service logs progress reports lesson plans and compliance paperwork.
- Maintain a safe structured and supportive learning environment that promotes student dignity and independence.
