DNV Maritime Region Southeast Asia Pacific & India is seeking an experienced Newbuilding Surveyor to join our India Maritime team. This role is pivotal in ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance throughout the construction of new vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and surveys during various stages of vessel construction.
Ensure compliance with international standards classification society rules and client specifications.
Liaise with shipyards contractors and clients to resolve technical issues.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of inspections and findings.
Monitor progress and quality of work to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture Marine Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in shipbuilding or marine surveying.
Strong understanding of IMO regulations and classification society requirements.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Good communication skills with cross language capability overcoming culture barriers to enhance team performance.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Willingness and flexibility to travel within India and abroad.
Interest to work in an international environment.
Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job: Climbing pilot ladders & in/out of tanks and confined spaces; crew boat launches in various local climate condition.
