What Youll Do: As a Job Coach youll play an essential role in guiding individuals with disabilities toward their ideal career paths. Youll support people every step of the way from identifying their unique strengths and interests to assisting in securing employment and offering ongoing support. Youll embrace ECHOs Core Values-Enthusiasm Trust Integrity Compassion Respect Innovation and Courage-as you collaborate with clients and employers to create opportunities that foster independence and inclusion.
Your Responsibilities:
- Job Placement: Discover the dreams skills and motivations of your clients then help them search for and secure jobs that fit their interests and needs.
- On-the-Job Support: Provide one-on-one training and creative support to help individuals succeed in their roles and navigate workplace culture.
- Employer Development: Build strong relationships with local businesses to create opportunities and ensure both employers and employees thrive.
- Coordination & Communication: Juggle multiple schedules connect with employers and families and be the go-to person for workplace needs.
- Teamwork & Training: Work closely with a collaborative team to ensure the success of each individual and continue to grow through training and workshops.
Who Were Looking For: A motivated self-starter who is passionate about making a real impact in the community and has a heart for helping others succeed. You should have:
- An associate degree (or equivalent work experience) with experience in vocational or support training for individuals with disabilities.
- A valid drivers license and a good driving record (youll be on the go!).
- A positive team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.
