We act for the roleThis position is responsible for developing and delivering targeted support to individuals households and communities to ensure they are strong resilient and capable of anticipating responding to and recovering well from disasters and other crises. This role also involves working at a state or territory sector level to increase knowledge and understanding of disaster impacts the importance of preparedness and resilience measures and the psychosocial needs of disaster-affected people and communities. You will lead a small you will bringDemonstrated sound technical knowledge expertise and understanding of disaster resilience and community development ability to develop and deliver training workshops and advocacy and communication skills with the ability to influence analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess evaluate and solve problems and exercise initiative and judgment where practices and procedures are not clearly defined with the ability to use data to inform that act for you while you act for humanityWork flexibility:Australian Red Cross operates under a hybrid working model which includes two days on-site and three days from homeFinancial wellbeing: In addition to your salary you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
