Little Wonders Preschool is looking for a Preschool Deputy Manager.

In this role you will support the Manager in leading the day-to-day running of the Preschool ensuring high quality early years provision safeguarding and smooth operational management acting as the responsible person in the Managers absence.

Support children aged 25 years with their learning and development through play-based experiences ensuring practice is inclusive child centred and responsive to individual needs.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the Manager with the day to day running of the preschool and act as the responsible person when required.
• Help lead and motivate the staff team modelling high quality early years practice.
• Support children aged 25 years through play-based learning ensuring inclusive nurturing and developmentally appropriate experiences.
• Contribute to planning observations and assessments in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).
• Promote safeguarding wellbeing and safe routines throughout the setting daily.
• Build positive relationships with families and support effective communication.
• Assist with operational tasks such as tapestry record keeping and maintaining a high-quality environment.

What you will need

Essential:

• Relevant NVQ level 3 or above in childcare
• Must have at least 2 years experience in an early years environment
• Good knowledge of the EYFS
• To build positive relationships with staff children and families through warm and respectful communication.
• You must uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and be confident in recognising recording and reporting concerns.

Desirable:

• Driving licence.
• Up to date Safeguarding training.
• Up to date paediatric first aid training.
• A willingness to engage in continued professional development.
