Overview

A global IT consulting and technology services organization is seeking a Data & AI Architect to join its enterprise data practice. This role focuses on leading data and AI architecture initiatives within large-scale retail transformation programs leveraging both SAP and non-SAP ecosystems.

You will work in a highly collaborative global environment contributing to advanced analytics and AI-driven business transformation initiatives.

Position Summary

The Data & AI Architect will be responsible for defining target architecture establishing governance frameworks and enabling scalable AI/ML use cases. This is a senior role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on expertise across enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Data & AI Architecture

• Define target data and AI architecture aligned with business priorities
• Design scalable data platforms across SAP and non-SAP environments
• Develop data models and semantic layers for analytics use cases

Integration & Systems Design

• Architect integration patterns across enterprise systems
• Support complex retail ecosystems including POS OMS eCommerce and ERP systems
• Ensure seamless data flow across multiple platforms

Governance & Compliance

• Establish frameworks for data quality lineage and access control
• Ensure compliance with privacy security and regulatory standards
• Define governance models for enterprise data usage

AI / ML Enablement

• Drive AI/ML use case development and implementation
• Define model lifecycle processes and MLOps frameworks
• Enable scalable AI solutions using cloud and enterprise platforms

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Provide architectural leadership across design build and deployment phases
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners

Requirements

Core Requirements

• 812 years of experience in data analytics or enterprise architecture
• Strong experience designing data platforms in SAP-centric environments
• Deep understanding of retail data domains and business processes
• Experience establishing data governance and compliance frameworks
• Proven experience enabling AI/ML use cases at scale

Technical Skills

• Experience with enterprise data modeling and integration architectures
• Knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle and MLOps practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Language

• Japanese: Native or business level preferred
• English: Business level preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP BTP (Datasphere Integration Suite AI/ML services)
• Exposure to hyperscaler cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
• Familiarity with enterprise data frameworks and reference architectures
• Experience in large-scale multi-vendor transformation programs
