Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Long-Term Care (LTC)

Location: Edison NJ 08820
Shift: Night Shift (11:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours/week (5 days/week)

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role is essential in ensuring patient safety assisting with daily living activities and supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including bathing toileting oral hygiene incontinent care and bed making
• Measure record and promptly report vital signs to the nursing team
• Perform and document glucose monitoring (finger sticks) and assist with specimen collection (urine stool sputum)
• Monitor and document intake/output and daily weights
• Respond to call lights and report any changes in patient condition immediately
• Assist as a patient sitter when required for safety monitoring
• Maintain a clean organized and safe patient environment
• Support patient mobility positioning and comfort measures
• Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards at all times
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA program
• Active New Jersey CNA License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• Minimum 23 years of experience in Sub-Acute and/or Long-Term Care settings (required)
• Strong communication skills in English (read write and speak)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Sub-Acute Rehabilitation (SAR) and Long-Term Care environments
• Strong teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
