Education
HS Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
Associates Degree Health Information Management Business Health Care or a related field REQUIRED
Experience
4 Years Experience in a healthcare environment with an lieu of 4 years experience may substitute 2 years experience with Bachelors degree REQUIRED
Licenses and Certifications
RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician upon hire preferred or
RHIA Registered Health Information Administrator upon hire preferred
Skills
Knowledge of complex acute care hospital Health Information Management operations including revenue cycle data integrity and HIPAA privacy requirements. Understanding of HIM processes in an electronic health record environment. Knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS medical record documentation regulations with ability to learn state requirements. Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with providers (physicians mid-levels allied health professionals etc.) and other stakeholders. Problem solving/critical thinking skills. Excellent computer skills with knowledge of MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.

Were looking for a HIM Document Management Analyst (FT) like you to join our Texas Health family.
Work Location: Remote position but must be located within the DFW Metroplex area
Work hours: Full time Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
