Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Recovery (PACU/Extended Recovery)
Location: Atlanta GA 30342
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Position Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Extended Recovery unit. The RN will provide post-anesthesia and post-operative care ensuring patient stability effective pain management and safe recovery progression. This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Assess vital signs and identify post-operative complications promptly
- Administer medications and manage pain control protocols
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Ensure safe transfer of patients to inpatient units or discharge as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PACU Recovery or similar acute care setting
- AHA BLS Certification required
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
- Ability to work overnight shifts (7 PM 7 AM) in a high-volume environment
- Must be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical setting
