About the role
The Project Officer Portfolio Management supports portfolio delivery by tracking performance across programs and projects providinghighqualityanalysis and advice and helping strengthen portfolio governance and reporting.
Working within the Portfolio Management Office Delivery Office you will support sponsors governance committees andportfolio leadswith insights on portfolio performance risksinterdependenciesand issues. You will also contribute to building the capability and maturity of our project management community to help ensure teams can deliver against government priorities and strategic outcomes. You willoperatewitha high levelof autonomy managing priorities in a complex and sensitive environment and working collaboratively across a large geographically dispersed organisation.

About you
To be successful in the role ideally you will have the following abilities:
- Strong portfolioprogramand/or project managementexpertiseincluding using and supporting others to use project management and reporting systems.
- Proven ability to analyse performance data and provide high-quality strategic and actionable advice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Strong stakeholder engagementinfluenceand negotiation skills.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A team-oriented approach that positively contributes to ourstrong teamculture.
Essentialrequirements:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experiencein delivering projects and supporting portfolio management services to ensure the successful delivery ofportfoliooutcomes.
- Experience using online project management systems (e.g. Microsoft Project Microsoft PPM) and dashboards () forprovidingportfolio level insights.
