Job Title: LVN / LPN Medical Surgical

Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 AM 07:00 PM)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LVN/LPN to join a Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Telemetry unit. This is a dynamic overflow unit designed to support patient care demands particularly for patients transitioning from the Emergency Department. The role requires flexibility strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Monitor and document patient conditions including vital signs and glucose levels
- Assist with feeding tube care NG/G-tube management and Foley catheter insertions
- Administer medications via oral IM and subcutaneous routes
- Support oxygen therapy (nasal cannula face masks) and basic respiratory care
- Perform patient hygiene tasks including bathing oral care and ambulation assistance
- Communicate changes in patient condition to RN/MD promptly
- Follow infection control protocols and isolation precautions
- Participate in patient admissions and care coordination
Required Qualifications:
- Active LVN/LPN License
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or similar setting
- Current BLS Certification
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC required)
