Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 AM 07:00 PM)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LVN/LPN to join a Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Telemetry unit. This is a dynamic overflow unit designed to support patient care demands particularly for patients transitioning from the Emergency Department. The role requires flexibility strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
Monitor and document patient conditions including vital signs and glucose levels
Assist with feeding tube care NG/G-tube management and Foley catheter insertions
Administer medications via oral IM and subcutaneous routes
Support oxygen therapy (nasal cannula face masks) and basic respiratory care
Perform patient hygiene tasks including bathing oral care and ambulation assistance
Communicate changes in patient condition to RN/MD promptly
Follow infection control protocols and isolation precautions
Participate in patient admissions and care coordination
Required Qualifications:
Active LVN/LPN License
Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or similar setting
Current BLS Certification
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC required)
