Senior Software Engineer- Data & Personalization (MULTIPLE POSITIONS) – Bethesda, MD

DUTIES:

Function as a technical lead and subject matter expert within the Digital Marketing data domain.
Perform research analysis design and development on a wide range of next generation data capabilities and products.
Assume technical ownership of service provider deliverables lead their technical resources to ensure deliverables are of are high quality follow standards & best practices and perform at scale.
Ensure all projects follow the defined development and business case processes.
Ensure early warning to the business stakeholder executives regarding degraded or missed service levels.
Coordinate with Application Delivery and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activities
Follows all defined IT standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance SM&G Architecture etc.) and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed.
Maintain a proper balance between business and operational risk.
Assess when risks need to be escalated to right channels.
Follow the defined project management standards and processes.
Train and/or mentor other team members and peers as appropriate
Liaise with multiple teams to steer projects from inception to successful delivery.
Identify opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.
Validate that Service Providers develop and manage respective aspects of a project plan including schedules deliverables and appropriate metrics.
Make short term plans for the team to effectively utilize resources.
Monitor Service Provider outcomes.
Review estimates of work effort for client project provided by Service Providers for accuracy.
Facilitate timely resolution of service delivery problems and minimizes the impact to clients.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related technical field followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience with database design application modeling and ETL development. Experience must include:

4 years technical delivery ownership of large-scale data pipelines and applications
4 of experience assessing customer/client/stakeholder needs creatively approaching solutions and deciding and/or influencing appropriate courses of action
3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or Oracle
3 years of experience with industry leading ETL tools
2 years of hands-on experience with APIs
2 years of experience leading on/offshore services provider technical resources
2 years of experience of mentoring and developing junior resources
2 years of Experience with loyalty programs in the retail or hospitality industry

100% Remote; position may be performed from anywhere within the U.S.
Travel to Marriot HQ in Bethesda MD at least once per quarter

SALARY: $150426 to $178400 per year
