Job Overview:

We are seeking a fully qualified Financial Controller who willreport to the Finance Director and play a key role in the daytoday financialmanagement of the business. They will be responsible for delivering accuratefinancial reporting and highquality financial analysis to support commercialdecisionmaking across the organisation.

This role has a strong focus on automation advanced analysis andimproving finance processes and reporting through the use of technologyalongside ownership of key commercial areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly management accounts and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis including margin and profitabilityanalysis by product and customer.
  • Support budgeting forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and cash collection implementing strategiesto reduce debtor days and improve cashflow.
  • Support improvements to finance processes systems and reportingincluding AIenabled and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency andinsight.
  • Design maintain and automate management reports to reduce manualeffort and improve decisionmaking.
  • Lead the statutory accounts preparation and external audit processes.
  • Supervise and develop members of the finance team.

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:

We are looking for a handson commercially minded FinancialController who enjoys working with data systems and stakeholders to driveinsight and efficiency.

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA ACCA ACA or equivalent) with aminimum of 2 years postqualification experience.
  • Strong background in management accounting FP&A and financialcontrols.
  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to analyse marginsautomate reports and work with complex data.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and supporting system improvements andautomation projects.
  • Commercially minded and a confident communicator able to work closelywith senior stakeholders and commercial teams.
  • High attention to detail strong ownership mindset and a proactivesolutionfocused approach.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff is desirable.

Location:Office based in at PaulRhodes Bakery SE10 9PJ (Greenwich London).
