Joining us as a NOC Operations Engineer
Youll install maintain monitor and troubleshoot customer and core network services including routers circuits firewalls and servers. From our Network Operations Centre youll oversee critical infrastructure swiftly addressing issues to ensure high service availability. Youll also support managed services for business customers resolving escalated issues efficiently.
Youll receive a salary of up to 45000 and a performance related bonus.
This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
- Installing maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure including routers circuits firewalls and servers
- Proactively monitoring network performance using advanced monitoring tools identifying faults and taking action to resolve them
- Responding to alerts from core links and addressing network issues promptly to maintain uptime
- Managing escalated issues from the Tech Support Centre (TSC) for investigation and resolution
- Supporting managed services for business customers ensuring seamless connectivity and reliability
- Coordinating with field engineers for hands-on troubleshooting when required
What youll bring to the role
Youll be a proactive and technically skilled network engineer with hands-on experience in monitoring and maintaining high-performance network environments. Youll also have:
- Experience with Cisco IOS and IP routing protocols (e.g. BGP ISIS)
- Proven background in 1st/2nd Line Network Support and Data Centre environments
- Strong understanding of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) and its role in network routing
- The ability to monitor identify and resolve network issues swiftly and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to handle escalations and collaborate with internal teams
