Application Manager

In your role as Application Manager you will be part of Avaloqs Service Operations division. With our services we support more than 30 banks globally and ensure their processes run smoothly compliant and efficiently.

As Application Manager you are responsible for the technical operation and application support for the Enterprise Data Management system Temenos Data Source (TDS aka T-ProDB) for Financial Instrument data management. You work closely with technical stakeholders business users and business analysts.

Your mission

• Responsible for the ongoing planning and implementation of technical release management resulting from customer projects and ongoing adaptations
• Ensuring smooth application support
• Monitoring the technical interfaces to the data provider and target systems 
• Monitoring the end-of-day processing of all clients while maintaining service quality including on-call service - Exception handling and incident management 
• Ongoing adaptation and further development of application operations including corresponding framework procedures (shell scripting) as our customer growth progresses 
• Ongoing adaptation of relevant documentation and operating manuals
• Participation in regular service meetings with internal and external customers 
• Project collaboration in the implementation of migration projects 
• Depending on personal qualifications and interests additional tasks related to the technical development of our services may be required

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or any related field.
• Several years of expertise in application management of banking applications
• Good database knowledge of PostgreSQL16 and Oracle 23 particularly in-depth knowledge of creating high-performance SQL queries and scripts 
• Knowledge of application servers especially JBoss Wildfly18 and later as well as experience with Unix shell scripting
• Very desirable would be a solid application expertise of the Enterprise Data Management system DataSource (aka T-ProDB) 
• Banking experience particularly business understanding in the securities environment desirable 
• Analytical and pragmatic approach 
• Strong customer and service orientation 
• Reliability independence and initiative 
• Very good English skills
