Role:
The Grayson Cares Coordinator provides professional counseling services and serves as the primary point of contact for students referred through the Grayson Cares Referral system. This role delivers mental health counseling and crisis intervention coordinates clinical and non-clinical case management and connects students with appropriate campus and community resources The Coordinator also supports training and outreach initiatives to promote awareness of the Grayson Cares program serves as Foster Care Liaison for students with foster care experience and contributes to program assessment through outcomes tracking accountability measures and data-informed practices. Additional responsibilities include supporting special projects and performing other duties as assigned in alignment with the mission of student success and well-being at Grayson College.
The salary for this position is $60495.36 and $90743.04 per year.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 45% Provides professional counseling services to students referred through Grayson Cares program. Serves as the primary point of contact for students referred through the Grayson Cares Referral system. Prepares required reports and records in compliance with departmental institutional and professional standards. Refers students to community resources as needed. Responds to campus mental health emergencies and provide crisis counseling and intervention.
- 20% Provides non-clinical and clinical case management for students referred through the Grayson Cares program. Coordinates care plans conducts outreach and follow-up monitors student progress and collaborates with campus partners to ensure students receive appropriate academic personal and community-based supports.
- 10% Foster Care Liaison: Works with foster care youth who are taking college classes and students who are no longer under foster care because of age or adoption.
- 10% Assists with the development and delivery of on-campus and off-campus trainings related to student mental health crisis response and the Grayson Cares referral process. Promotes awareness of the Grayson Cares program through presentations workshops and outreach initiatives to faculty staff students and community partners to strengthen a caring and informed campus culture.
- 10% Assists with developing outcomes accountability and predictive analytics for students receiving Grayson Caresprogram services and the student population in general.
- 5% Performs other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
- Education: Masters degree in Counseling Social Work or a related behavioral health field required. Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) LPC-Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) under supervision qualifying as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) or LPHA-eligible.
- Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
- Other Skills: Computer proficiency required (MS Office products preferred) with the ability to learn new systems and applications as needed. Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills. Previous experience with grant administration preferred.
- Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However there may be some walking standing bending carrying of light items driving an automobile etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.
- Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
