Job Summary
Regional Security
The Regional Security Director will serve as the primary security leader overseeing comprehensive operations across corporate headquarters business centers and client-facing facilities throughout the assigned region. This strategic role requires developing and implementing security protocols to mitigate threats while serving as the critical liaison between Global Physical Security and regional site leadership collaborating with facility managers HR legal compliance and executives to integrate security into all business operations. The position includes leading executive protection operations for select executive committee members and other senior executives as designated providing security oversight for major corporate events conducting regular site assessments across assigned region with overnight travel as needed and directly contributing to TIAAs mission of protecting employees clients and assets while maintaining our trusted position in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Direct executive protection operations for senior executives using threat-based risk protocols to proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Respond to security incidents and coordinate follow-up investigations and risk mitigation with GCS business management corporate partners and law enforcement
Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies key business partners and management teams
Participate in regional and site management meetings to maintain visibility and communication
Coordinate mitigation plans for known or planned disruptive events targeting TIAA locations or occurring nearby
Manage security officer operations at assigned sites
Conduct periodic security reviews risk assessments and personal safety training at assigned locations
Support technical security infrastructure projects at assigned sites
Provide after-hours emergency incident response availability
Travel occasionally in support of conducting site visits/assessments providing corporate event security oversight and leading executive protection operations
Educational Requirements

Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive experience leading security operations for a large global corporation law enforcement agency or military
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7 years of progressive experience leading security operations for a large global corporation law enforcement agency or military
- BS or BA degree
- Problem solving at an operational and execution level with regard to physical security and event security program management
- Executive protection and protective intelligence program management experience
- Ability to travel 25% within region
