Laboratory Support Technician

Technician responsibilities include:

• Maintains clean laboratory conditions which include but is not limited to cleaning glassware emptying trash mopping floors etc.
• Disposes of and separates waste liquids according to established practices complying with OSHA regulations and SOPs.
• Responsible for calibration of analytical instruments maintaining storage units and lab supplies and ensuring that equipment is available and in good working order.
• May be required to move/transfer materials from one department to another; check in/out materials as requested by study personnel
• Completes documentation legibly timely and accurately according to all regulatory requirements; maintains and completes equipment log books; documents all movement of materials during process of receipt transfer disposal or archiving and distributes documents as required.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• College lab classes or familiarity with lab environment preferred.
• Depending on area of assignment previous farm/gardening background/experience preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
