Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Engineering MDM Manager to lead the SAP Engineering Master Data Management pillar. This role ensures accuracy of engineering master data across global manufacturing sites (UK Germany France Malaysia US) and drives key deliverables within the Transformation Programme.

You will manage a team of 810 professionals overseeing Material Master Data Bill of Materials Routings and Equipment Master Data. The position requires strong leadership operational oversight and stakeholder engagement to standardise processes improve data quality and support automation and system upgrades.

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a critical business area shaping the future of engineering data management in a global organisation.

Willingness to travel internationally as this role requires close interactions across the manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Define and implement the immediate vision and roadmap for Engineering MDM ensuring alignment with the current Transformation Programme targets.
    • Drive change and innovation in how we manage Engineering master data through improved tooling processes and data quality standards.
    • Manage and mentor a team of 810 engineers and professionals across global sites.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Engineering MDM team including audit cleansing and enhancement of data structures taxonomies and mapping.
    • Ensure timely execution of data migration cleansing and validation activities during system upgrades or transformation initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:
    • Build strong partnerships with Engineering Manufacturing Supply Chain Procurement Quality Finance and IT teams serving as the primary liaison for engineering change management and master data requirements.
    • Champion engineering master data governance and compliance influencing stakeholders to adopt best practices aligned with global data governance objectives.
  • Project Delivery:
    • Lead projects and oversee master data requirements for key initiatives including automation of manual processes for Material Master and Equipment Master data Warehouse Management System enhancements and Bill of Material setup improvements.

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing master data in large global manufacturing or engineering organisations
  • Demonstrated team leadership and people management skills
  • Expertise in Material Master Data Bill of Materials Routings and Equipment Master Data
  • Product Lifecycle Management (Teamcenter) experience
  • Engineering Change Management knowledge
  • SAP proficiency (essential)
