Job Summary
Were looking for a Data QA Analyst to join Recentives core data science this role youll examine and evaluate analytical model outputs that power decision-making for some of the largest names in sports entertainment and broadcast. Youll work closely with our data product and engineering teams to help evaluate the quality and accuracy of our analytical solutions in the context of end-to-end applications.
What Youll Be Doing
- Model Output Evaluation: Work closely with data scientists to assess and validate the outputs of analytical models ensuring they align with business expectations and real-world dynamics.
- Data Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of data pipelines transformations and model inputs to identify inconsistencies anomalies or biases that could impact results.
- Business Context & Real-World Awareness: Stay informed about market trends operational changes and other external factors that could influence model performance and analytical insights.
- Insight & Reporting: Analyze model outputs flag discrepancies and provide actionable feedback to improve the reliability and interpretability of data-driven decisions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with data scientists engineers and business teams to bridge the gap between technical outputs and real-world application.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and implement structured testing frameworks to verify data accuracy completeness and consistency throughout the analytics lifecycle.
What Were Looking For
- Data Analysis & Validation: Strong ability to examine large datasets identify inconsistencies and ensure data integrity.
- Excel Proficiency: Skilled in using spreadsheets for data analysis comparison and reporting.
- SQL: Familiarity with querying databases to extract and analyze data is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to catch subtle anomalies and discrepancies in data outputs that could impact decision-making.
- Business & Industry Awareness: Comfortable researching and staying up to speed with real-world factors that may influence model performance.
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to approach data challenges analytically and provide structured logical evaluations.
- Effective Communication & Reporting: Strong writing skills to document findings articulate data issues and summarize key insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
