Job Summary
Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Eureka California
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Day Shift 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $2700 $3677 per week (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join a reputable acute care facility. This role involves delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by oncologists while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions and approved treatment plans
- Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment to ensure precise treatment delivery
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical records (Epic)
- Collaborate with oncologists medical physicists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adhere to strict radiation safety standards and quality assurance protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- ARRT (Radiation Therapy Certification T) required
- BLS Certification required
- Active state license required (pending licenses not accepted)
