Following the anticipated completion of an acquisition of the NSR Group the business will be entering a new phase of complexity.

We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Manager to join us for 12 months acting as parental leave cover reporting directly to the Executive and leading the People & Culture team in a high-impact hands-on leadership role across ANZ.


The Opportunity:

As People & Culture Manager you will manage the HR and Talent Acquisition functions to deliver practical compliant and commercially-minded people support across the business with a strong emphasis on employee relations industrial relations and risk mitigation. This role is both strategic and hands-on as you will be supporting leaders through complex matters managing your own portfolio and keeping key P&C projects and frameworks moving to support a highly capable compliant and thriving workforce across ANZ.

You will lead a capable and engaged P&C team of 8 and partner closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver practical compliant and commercially sound HR and Talent Acquisition solutions in a complex operating environment. This role will suit someone who brings strong technical HR expertise is confident navigating complex environments and decision-making and enjoys balancing strategic input with day-to-day delivery.

You will also contribute to key initiatives including change management aligned to the companys upcoming acquisition and playing a lead role in a HRIS implementation project this year.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide end-to-end P&C support to your stakeholder portfolio (Head Office Senior Management and escalations) including performance conduct grievances reward and recognition and more
  • Coach leaders on effective performance and conduct conversations and lead investigations and outcomes as required
  • Run end-to-end management of Fair Work and broader external employment-related claims across the business
  • Ensure matters are managed professionally consistently risk-assessed and supported by appropriate documentation and process
  • Own compliance across modern awards including interpretation and practical application
  • Manage the annualised wage assessments including annual reviews and new starter reviews ensuring alignment to award obligations and internal governance
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation across Australia and New Zealand Lead training compliance and identify training and development needs across the organisation
  • Manage sensitive welfare matters including DFV and broader employee wellbeing concerns
  • Support cultural and organisational change initiatives
  • Deliver accurate and meaningful reporting to senior leaders and Executives to inform decision-making
  • Coordinate the quarterly Head Office and Senior Team town hall including speaker management and ensuring variety in business updates
  • Support the ongoing development and maintenance of systems policies processes and procedures across the business
  • Lead support and uplift a team of 8 P&C professionals building capability and consistency of practice across the function
  • Keep the People & Culture strategy and key projects including HRIS implementation progressing during the parental leave cover period
  • Occasional travel across ANZ as required

About You:

  • Experience leading an end-to-end P&C function ideally in a multi-site and/or operationally complex environment
  • Strong technical and traditional leaning HR experience in a medium or large organisation
  • Strong understanding of the Australian employment legislative framework with an understanding or willingness to learn the same for New Zealand
  • Experience in supporting change management within a large organisation
  • Strength in developing trusting relationships with the ability to influence key stakeholders including Senior Management and the Executive
  • Ability to work across the entire spectrum of HR and contribute to an uplift in processes systems and practices
  • Strong time management and organisation capabilities matched with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to consistent fair and respectful people practices
