Shift: Rotating Days (7:15 AM 3:45 PM / 9:30 AM 6:00 PM)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to support surgical services in a fast-paced operating room environment. This role works under the direct supervision of the Surgeon and Registered Nurse to ensure safe efficient and high-quality patient care throughout surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room ensuring all instruments equipment and sterile supplies are ready for procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterility standards (AORN guidelines)
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies
• Handle surgical instruments retractors sutures and assist with sponge/needle counts
• Prepare label and manage medications under RN and surgeon supervision
• Ensure proper handling labeling and transport of surgical specimens
• Assist with patient positioning transport and post-procedure transfers
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment including lights suction and sterilizers
• Support room turnover and restocking between procedures
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure availability of case-specific equipment and instruments
• Participate in staff meetings training and continuous education
• Maintain patient privacy dignity and safety at all times

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (Civilian or Military)
• NBSTSA Certification (Required) must be active and maintained
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
• Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
