Location: Watertown NY 13601
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Evening Shift (11:00 AM 7:30 PM 8-hour shifts)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join a fast-paced Operating Room team. The CST plays a critical role in maintaining a sterile surgical environment ensuring proper functioning of surgical instruments and providing direct support to surgeons during procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
• Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating needs and providing instruments
• Ensure proper sterilization cleaning and disinfection of surgical equipment
• Perform scrub duties with precision and efficiency
• Support patient preparation and positioning for surgical procedures
• Respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure surgical situations
• Assist with departmental duties and workflow as assigned
• May be required to precept and support new staff

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (Required)
• Minimum travel experience required
• Strong experience in Orthopedic procedures
• Proven scrubbing experience in the OR
• Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical systems
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control standards
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when on-call

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• OR Current New York State LPN license (or eligibility)
• Pharmacology course completion or prior medication administration experience
• Ongoing commitment to continuing education (15 CEUs annually)

Additional Requirements

• Must reside within a 100-mile radius of the facility
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work weekends holidays and on-call shifts as required
