Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on high-energyAssistant New & Used Car Managerto support both departments with a strong emphasis onlead management customer follow-up and prospecting discipline.
This is not a desk-only rolethis position requiresdaily consistent outbound communication with prospects and customers along with leadership in CRM usage and accountability. The ideal candidate leads from the front by actively working deals engaging customers and driving appointment and closing activity.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Follow-Up & Prospecting (Core Focus)
Spend asignificant portion of the work week (3050%) actively calling texting and emailing prospects and customers
Workunsold showroom traffic internet leads service drive opportunities and orphan owners
Execute and enforce astructured follow-up process(day)
Personally handlehigh-value prospects and aged leadsto drive conversions
Re-engage lost opportunities and push forappointment setting and show rates
Set the standard for dailyoutbound activity metrics(calls texts emails appointments)
CRM Management & Accountability
Ensure100% CRM usage and complianceacross the sales team
Audit CRM daily for:
Lead response times
Follow-up completion
Task adherence
Data accuracy
Hold sales consultants accountable todaily activity minimums
Train and coach team members oneffective CRM usage and communication strategies
Monitor and improvelead-to-appointment and appointment-to-sale conversion rates
Maintain clean pipelines and eliminate stagnant or neglected leads
Sales Leadership & Performance
Assist in managing bothnew and used vehicle sales operations
Work directly with the team toclose deals and maximize front-end gross
Conduct dailyone-on-ones and performance reviews
Drive accountability aroundappointments shows and sold units
Lead by example withpersonal production and customer engagement
Inventory & Merchandising
Assist in managinginventory levels mix and turn rates
Supportused vehicle acquisition and appraisals
Monitor pricing strategy to stay competitive in the market
Ensure strong online presence with accurate listings and photos
Customer Experience
Ensurefast professional responsesto all inbound leads
Personally intervene onat-risk deals or dissatisfied customers
Drive high CSI through consistent communication and follow-through
Daily / Weekly Activity Expectations
50100 outbound calls per week (personally and through team oversight)
Active daily engagement in CRM (lead follow-up task completion deal notes)
Consistent review ofunsold traffic and lead pipelines
Hands-on involvement inappointment setting and confirmation
Qualifications
25 years in automotive sales (preferablyStellantis/CDJR experience)
Proven track record ofstrong follow-up and closing ability
High proficiency with CRM systems (VinSolutions DealerSocket etc.)
Strong phone skills and ability toconvert leads into appointments
Leadership mindset with aprocess-driven approach
Preferred
PreviousAssistant Sales Manager or Sales Manager experience
High-volume dealership experience
Strong understanding ofBDC processes and integration with sales
