PRN Registered Vascular Technician – Surgical Specialists Clinic – Days

Heres What You Need

• Associates Degree Related field (preferred)

• Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred)

• 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) and

• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or

• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required)

• Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology the cardiac patient and treatment of cardiac diseases

• Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature

• Have excellent communication skills

• Have good computer skills

• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process

• Will perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.

• Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment and order supplies when necessary.

• Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians managers and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patients clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols.

• Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.

• Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.

• Reviews test results with interpreting physician.

• Work hours: PRN As Needed Day Shift Monday & Wednesday 8:00am - 5:00pm additional days may vary based on clinic need

• Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)
