Adult Recreation Coordinator

Job Summary
Looking for a role where you can plan fun build connections and make a real impact Join our Recreation Services team and help create meaningful experiences for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
As an Adult Recreation Coordinator youll take the lead on planning and organizing events activities and outings that bring people together and enrich lives. This role blends creativity coordination and direct support so no two days look the same.
Full-time non-exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends as needed
Pay Rate: $21.25/hr
What Youll Do:
- Plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of recreation activities and events
- Serve as a main point of contact for participants families staff and volunteers
- Communicate staffing and volunteer needs for upcoming events
- Manage event details including scheduling transportation and vendor coordination
- Track budgets and ensure events stay within approved spending
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and recreation providers
- Support and engage participants during activities ensuring a safe and positive experience
- Assist with personal care mobility needs and medication administration as needed
- Help evaluate programs and gather participant feedback to keep improving experiences
- Step in as on-call support when the Recreation Manager is unavailable
What Youll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelors degree preferred)
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities (preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at once
- Comfort using Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
- A team-first mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
- Valid drivers license
