This position will be expected to independentlymanage and supervise theCCBDinpatientandoutpatientservicesincludingtheinfusioncenterattheCOSsite. ThispositionmayalsoprovidecoverageofoutpatientclinicsperiodicallytoCCBDSouth Campus (Highlands Ranch) site as needed based on clinical volumes and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary management of inpatient outpatient and infusion care of infants childrenandadolescentsundergoingtherapyforavarietyofCCBDandnon-CCBD related diagnoses including emergency care and transfer/triage to higher level care as clinically indicated.
Provide education and support for rotating residents fellows PNP PA RN studentsadvancedpracticeproviders(APPs)nursingandothersupportstaff.
Performlumbarpuncturesincludingintrathecalchemotherapyadministrationif applicable bone marrow aspirates bone marrow biopsies Ommaya taps and medication administration skin biopsies and other minor procedures as needed for treatment and therapy.
Communicate and collaborate with other faculty and referring providers regarding shared patients including timely consultations response to communicationsandcoordinationofcareaswellaswithotherCCBDand non-CCBD faculty to communicate with primary care and other referring providers.
Share in call coverage (inpatient holiday weekend and nights) with other CCBD faculty. This is estimated to be approximately every fourth week and approximatelyeveryfourthweekendattheColoradoSpringsHospitallocation.
