Were hiring a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Merkle in Sofia.

About the Role

We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to support and maintain our AWS infrastructure and delivery pipelines. You will work on day-to-day operational tasks infrastructure updates and monitoring -- building your cloud engineering foundations in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Jenkins pipelines to ensure reliable code deployments

• Apply incremental AWS infrastructure changes using Terraform under established patterns and conventions

• Monitor system performance via CloudWatch and Grafana; escalate anomalies promptly

• Ensure consistency and stability across development staging and production environments

• Keep infrastructure documentation diagrams and runbooks current as the system evolves

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on experience in a cloud or DevOps-related role

• Working knowledge of core AWS services: EC2 S3 VPC and security groups

• Ability to read plan and apply Terraform configurations safely

• Practical experience with Jenkins: triggering builds reading logs and understanding pipeline syntax

• Solid Linux fundamentals: command line file management and permissions

• Proficiency with Git workflows: branching merging and pull requests

• Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teammates

• Fluent English

• Degree in Computer Science IT or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Exposure to containerization concepts (Docker Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with Python or Bash scripting

• AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner Solutions Architect Associate)
