Job Description

Our client a well-established manufacturing company that has been in business for over 50 years is currently looking for a Controller to join their team in Anjou. This is a solid SME of approximately 70 employees known for its dynamic environment collaborative culture and willingness to do things a little differently.

This Controller role within a manufacturing environment involves overseeing the full accounting cycle supervising a team and playing a strategic role in financial operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you will play a key role within the organization by acting as a strategic business partner and ensuring the integrity of financial information. You will oversee a small accounting team and thrive in a fast-paced environment where autonomy and proactivity are highly valued.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys having a tangible impact working in a non-micromanaged environment and actively contributing to process improvements.

Responsibilities

Oversee the full accounting cycle and the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
Supervise and develop a small accounting team
Participate in budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
Manage cash flow and coordinate certain financial operations
Act as a business partner to management to support decision-making
Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements

Profile Sought

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in manufacturing and/or a multi-entity environment (an asset)
CPA (an asset)
Strong Excel skills
Functional bilingualism in French and English
