On-Call: 1 in 6 rota 200 standby 4-hour minimum call-out

Were looking for a skilled and proactive Mobile Maintenance Engineer to support the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of client sites.
This is a field-based role covering multiple locations across South Wales and the South West so travel is a core part of the position. Youll play a key role in ensuring building services systems are maintained safely efficiently and in full compliancewhile delivering a professional customer-focused service.

The Role
Youll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems ensuring client assets remain safe compliant and fully operational.
Day to day this includes:
Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
Fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems
Maintaining HVAC plant to ensure optimal environmental conditions
Responding to BMS alarms and carrying out first-line diagnostics
Supporting plant operations including start-up shutdown and changeover
Completing simPRO tasks with accurate records and photographic evidence
Maintaining logbooks and compliance documentation
Supporting statutory maintenance and highlighting risks or issues
Carrying out small installation and repair works as required
Conducting regular site walk-rounds to ensure safety and performance
Supervising subcontractors and reviewing works on site
Ensuring all plant rooms and work areas are safe clean and compliant
Communicating effectively with clients supervisors and internal teams
Youll also take ownership of your workload managing your time effectively across multiple sites.
On-Call & Overtime
On-call rota: 1 in 6
Standby allowance: 200 per week
Minimum 4-hour call-out payment
Overtime available depending on business needs
What Were Looking For
Were looking for a well-rounded engineer who is confident working across building services and can operate independently in a mobile role.
Youll ideally have:
Experience within Facilities Management or Building Services
Strong PPM and reactive maintenance background
Confidence fault-finding across M&E systems
A proactive safety-first approach
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage workload across multiple sites
Qualifications & Technical Skills
Essential:
City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
Strong understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations
Desirable:
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
IOSH Working Safely
IPAF / PASMA
Unvented hot water systems
Knowledge of BMS HVAC generators and building controls
ACOP L8 / water systems knowledge
High Voltage experience
Experience
Experience working on a range of plant and equipment including:
Boiler plant and ventilation systems
Pumps and pressurisation systems
Generators and switchgear
Cables batteries lighting and small power
