We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join an Outstanding secondary school in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity to support the financial operations of a successful and well-structured school environment.

The successful candidate will assist with financial administration maintain accurate records and support budgeting and reporting processes. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and wider finance team to ensure efficient and compliant financial procedures.

This role requires strong numerical ability attention to detail and a professional approach to financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices payments and financial transactions
Maintain accurate financial records and systems
Support budgeting and financial reporting
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Assist with procurement and financial procedures
Ensure compliance with school financial policies

Requirements:
Finance or administrative experience
Strong numerical and analytical skills
High level of attention to detail
IT proficiency (including finance systems)
Strong organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
