Job Responsibilities:
- Teach and facilitate IB English curriculum for students in various grades.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that engage students and promote understanding of course material.
- Assess student performance through a variety of methods including assignments quizzes and exams.
- Provide constructive feedback to enhance student learning and address areas of improvement.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that fosters student participation and enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with parents and faculty to support student progress and academic success.
- Stay current with IB curriculum changes and best teaching practices.
- Support students preparing for international assessments and Olympiad competitions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in English Literature Education or related field.
- Certification in IB teaching or equivalent qualification.
- Strong command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in teaching methodologies and curriculum design.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience teaching English in an IB or international curriculum setting.
- Experience working with high school students and familiarity with IBDP AS & A-Levels is preferred.
- Background in preparing students for examinations and competitions particularly Olympiads is an advantage.
