How do you add value to the role

The Robotics Engineer develops and commissions robotic systems in the manufacturing industry based on customer specifications and in alignment with engineering principles international standards and regulations. This role integrates industrial and collaborative robots with modern control equipment simulates system performance scenarios and proposes process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Execute specialized technical services for internal and external customers locally remotely or on-site. The objective is to ensure that assigned robotic systems operate efficiently and in compliance with industry and quality standards. The context scope and duration of activities will vary depending on each assignment.
  • When designing robotic systems consider industry standards and ensure compliance with minimum customer specifications. Perform technical calculations select components generate electrical schematics as required and develop bills of materials (BOM).
  • Validate system operation and performance scenarios using robotic simulation software. Model program and test robotic arms using digital engineering tools.
  • Program robots both offline (OLP) and online; configure application software; use the teach pendant to adjust paths; configure connect and validate safety systems; and set up I/O and peripheral devices.
  • Identify failure modes and implement preventive and corrective actions. Perform risk and safety assessments. Validate commission and test equipment and systems within the scope of assignment.
  • When involved in projects with internal customers participate in quality assurance activities; collaborate with manufacturing personnel to solve problems identify future opportunities or develop new solutions. Generate and manage documentation throughout the design development and validation process in accordance with company standards. Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes generate supporting evidence propose new processes and ensure final product quality.
  • Participate in ideation conceptualization cost estimation and definition of business proposals related to the area of expertise.
  • Continuously develop and update technical competencies through self-learning or company training programs. Participate in training and consulting programs for internal and external customers as a content developer technical instructor or consultant.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (Robotics Mechatronics or related field) or Science.
  • Courses/Certifications: Industrial Robotics (preferred).
  • Language: Advanced English (required).
  • Passport Required
  • Visa Preferred
  • Availability to travel: Mexico and the USA

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years integrating robotic applications.
  • Development of semi-complex robotic applications.
  • Proven experience in robotic cell commissioning/startups.
  • Knowledge of electrical and safety standards for industrial machinery.
