Location: Reston Virginia Hybrid (1 2 days/week onsite)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an Information Governance Engineer with strong BigID experience to support enterprise data discovery and remediation initiatives. This is a hands-on role focused on improving classification accuracy analyzing sensitive data findings and converting insights into actionable remediation workflows.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with BigID (data discovery & classification)
- Experience with classifier tuning (regex NER pattern matching)
- Experience with ticketing tools (Jira ServiceNow)
- Understanding of structured vs. unstructured data
- Basic scripting/querying skills (SQL Python APIs)
- Knowledge of data governance privacy and security concepts
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Success Metrics:
- Improved classification accuracy and reduced false positives
- Efficient conversion of findings into actionable remediation tickets
- Establishment of scalable repeatable data governance workflows
Additional:
- Strong preference for candidates with real-world BigID implementation experience
- No travel required
- Must be comfortable working in hybrid setup (Virginia)
