Position Overview:

We are seeking an Information Governance Engineer with strong BigID experience to support enterprise data discovery and remediation initiatives. This is a hands-on role focused on improving classification accuracy analyzing sensitive data findings and converting insights into actionable remediation workflows.

Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with BigID (data discovery & classification)
Experience with classifier tuning (regex NER pattern matching)
Experience with ticketing tools (Jira ServiceNow)
Understanding of structured vs. unstructured data
Basic scripting/querying skills (SQL Python APIs)
Knowledge of data governance privacy and security concepts
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Success Metrics:

Improved classification accuracy and reduced false positives
Efficient conversion of findings into actionable remediation tickets
Establishment of scalable repeatable data governance workflows

Additional:

Strong preference for candidates with real-world BigID implementation experience
No travel required
Must be comfortable working in hybrid setup (Virginia)
