Role: Enterprise Architect II
Location: Downtown Houston TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 month
Summary:
The main function of an Enterprise Architect is to establish system information requirements using analysis of information in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems with a strong emphasis on business architecture to ensure IT strategies are tightly aligned with business objectives capabilities and transformation initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs architecture to include the software hardware and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
- Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform integration with other systems and the external interfaces
- Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
- Develops and maintains business architecture frameworks models and roadmaps to support business transformation and strategic goals
- Provides daily supervision and direction to staff
Skills:
- Experience with broad technology delivery including custom development using various development languages
- Experience with providing technical leadership mentoring on software engineering design development and frameworks analyzing alternatives and presenting technical options to leads and clients
- Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio including authoring or managing the development of software designs managing vendor evaluations and justifying technical recommendations
- Expertise in business architecture including capability modeling process architecture value streams and alignment of IT with enterprise strategy
- Strong working experience with the introduction implementation and ongoing evolution of Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools such as Ardoq
- Ability to apply fundamental concepts processes practices and procedures on technical assignments
- Requires practical experience and training
Education/Experience:
- TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification required
- Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
- 2-4 years experience required
