Location: Mumbai Experience: 12–15 Years Department: Trading / Institutional Sales
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Sales Trader with a strong institutional client franchise from the trading side. The role involves driving institutional relationships executing trades and contributing to revenue growth across broking and clearing services.
The ideal candidate will bring a portable client base (FPIs DIIs hedge funds and institutional investors ) along with deep expertise in equity and derivatives trading.
Manage and grow relationships with FPIs DIIs hedge funds and institutional investors
Leverage an existing client base from the trading side to drive business
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on market opportunities trade ideas and execution strategies
2. Trade Execution & Sales Trading
Execute high-value institutional trades across cash and derivatives with precision
Provide real-time market insights and trade recommendations
Coordinate with internal desks to ensure best execution and minimal slippage
3. Revenue Generation & Business Development
Drive revenue through active client engagement and trade flows
Cross-sell broking clearing and execution services
Contribute to institutional franchise building and AUM/revenue growth
4. Market Intelligence & Advisory
Track market trends macro developments and sector movements
Provide actionable trading strategies and investment insights
Support clients with block trades structured trades and liquidity solutions
5. Internal Collaboration & Compliance
Work closely with trading risk compliance and operations teams
Ensure error-free execution and regulatory compliance
Support onboarding of new institutional clients
Key Requirements
12–15 years of experience in institutional sales trading / broking & clearing
Strong existing relationships with institutional clients (FPIs DIIs hedge funds)
Proven ability to generate revenue and manage active trading clients
Deep understanding of equities derivatives and market microstructure
Experience in handling block trades and high-value institutional orders
Strong communication execution and relationship management skills
Preferred Qualifications
MBA / PGDM (Finance) or relevant degree
NISM / Exchange certifications preferred
Exposure to global institutional clients (Asia Europe US) and DII’s
