Job Summary

    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Health and Wellness.

    • Start Date
    • Positionavailable on or after April 28th 2026 and ending on or before May 31 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget department needs and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Meet with Health Education & Promotion staff on weekly basis.
      • Networking and collaborating with student organizations campus departments and community organizations.
      • Assist in design of marketing materials and promoting programs to campus community
      • Assist in the planning and execution of various health awareness observances and campaigns on campus: Aware Awake Alive Sexual Responsibility Week Mental
      • Health Awareness National Nutrition Month etc.
      • Assist with creating content for social media platform including educational messages and graphics/images/photos.
      • Assist with tracking social media user traffic and evaluate effectiveness of platform.
      • Assist in the design and administration of program evaluations.
      • Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Prior student leadership peer education event planning and/or health education-related experience in helpful but not required.
      • Commitment to provide education and outreach relating to topics relevant to college students. (e.g. nutrition physical activity alcohol tobacco and other drugs sexual and reproductive health sexual assault and dating/relationship violence sleep stress eating disorders body image etc.)
      • Role model for responsible and healthy lifestyle choices.
      • Ability to work as part of a team and independently (be a self-starter).
      • Ability to multi-task demonstrate sound decision making and complete assigned duties by deadlines.
      • Must be dependable and responsible.
      • Schedule flexibility including ability to work some evenings and weekends.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.90 per hour.
