Where does this role fit in

As Development Manageryoullreport to the Head of Development and lead on the day-to-day operational management of development activity with a particular focus on the TACP programme.

Youllmanage your own major projects while also providing leadershipoversightand support to colleagues including Senior Project Managers Project Managers and Project Management Assistants across the full development lifecycle.

The role spans:

  • Early feasibilityviabilityand acquisition

  • Planningdesignand procurement

  • Constructioncompletionand defect periods

Youllwork closely with colleagues across Codi ensuring schemes move smoothly through internal governance and external approval processes whilemaintainingstrong oversight of cost programmeriskand quality.

What skills and experience do you need

To be successful in this roleyoullneed to bring strong development experience sound judgement and a collaborative leadership particular werelooking for colleagues with:

  • Significant experienceworking within a development environment meeting demanding performance standards

  • A proventrack recordof leadership including managing and supporting multi-disciplinary teams

  • Strong commercial awareness including risk management and programme oversight

  • Experience delivering projects through the full development process from feasibility to completion

  • The ability to manage technicalfinancialand legal considerations on complex schemes

  • Experience building andmaintainingeffective internal and external partnerships including with Local Authority partners

  • Strong communicationorganisationand prioritisation skills

  • IT confidence using tools such as MS Teams SharePointWordand Excel day to day

  • A full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes

This rolecan bebasedfromNewportCardifforSwanseawith agile working in closely with colleaguespartnersand stakeholders across the organisation and externally with flexibility to travel as needed to support scheme delivery.

We support a healthy worklife balance with Monday to Friday working flexible and agile arrangements and theoptionof compressed hours where operationallyappropriate.

This is a full-time fixed-term maternity cover role (37 hours per week until 1 January 2027) with a salary of73870 offering the opportunity to step into a senior development leadership position and gain valuable experience leading complex programmes and teams.
